Gottorf Castle has a travelling exhibition entitled "Of Epees, Sails and Cannons", which is also shown at the Maritime Museum in Kotka, Finland. The digital guide for the touring exhibition is the first large international NFC project for tuomi and the visitor response is enthusiastic.
In order to gain access to further NFC technologies and open up more international markets, tuomi 2015 takes over 'tagage' from Hansaprint, Finland. tagage has been a leader in combining NFC and print since 2009. Companies from Finland, Sweden, Norway, South America and Spain become tuomi customers.
An NFC project with Bayer Healthcare in Singapore attracts a lot of attention. Thanks to the smart "Taplabel", customers in Guardian supermarkets can obtain information about the product right on the spot. This led to tuomi being named one of the 100 most innovative companies at the German SME summit 2015.
Johannes Roos wins the prize for the best presentation at Innosecure 2015. The contribution "NFC in the smartphone - the farewell to Mifare?" won the prize as people's choice.
tuomi starts developing software based on NFC technology. As the company's first major project, the more than 1,300 digital display panels of the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) provide users with up to the minute information using tuomi software and NFC chips.
